Art Talk: Kunstig intelligens

Art Week 2022: ANDROMEDA 8220 TAKES OVER – NOT JUST ANOTHER ART WEEK EVENT

“Dope is Death” takes us back in time to South Bronx in the late 60’s and tells the story of the radical movement whose goal it was to end heroin addiction through acupuncture and a more just health system.

The movement was led by Dr. Mutulu Shakur, Tupacs stepdad, in collaboration with The Black Panthers and The Young Lords. Through archive material and interviews, we get insight into how the acupuncture clinic in South Bronx became prominent and – despite trouble with financing at times – is still active today.
