Walk & Talk: Guided tour with curator Karen Moss
As part of the retrospective Alison Knowles exhibition Nikolaj Kunsthal invites you to a special guided tour with the exhibition’s US curator, Karen Moss.
Alison Knowles (1933–2025) was a central figure in the Fluxus movement, working from the 1960s across performance, sound, text and visual art. Fluxus was an international, experimental movement that challenged the boundaries between art and everyday life through performances and happenings. In a Nordic context, Copenhagen – and Nikolaj Kunsthal in particular – played a key role in the development of the movement.
Karen Moss is an art historian and former Professor of Critical Studies at the University of Southern California, and the author of a monograph on Alison Knowles. The exhibition has previously been presented at institutions including BAMPFA, Museum Wiesbaden and Musée d’art moderne et contemporain Saint-Étienne, and will travel on to the Grey Art Museum in New York.
The tour will be conducted in English. Capacity is limited. Find more information and tickets via the link.
The exhibition "Alison Knowles: Retrospective 1960–2022" is on view at Nikolaj Kunsthal from 25 April to 26 July 2026
