The new exhibition season has officially kicked off!

We’re delighted to welcome three new exhibitions that, each in their own way – and across different perspectives – move between science, sensory experience and spirituality.

Meridians · Christian Skjødt Hasselstrøm · Lower Gallery
This autumn, the Lower Gallery has been transformed into a cosmic listening station. Artist and composer Christian Skjødt Hasselstrøm takes over the soaring space with an exhibition that uses advanced detector technology to make the invisible perceptible. Here, visitors can experience a cosmic phenomenon that normally escapes our senses – while reflecting on humanity’s humble place within a larger cosmic and ecological context.

Maria Wæhrens · The Answer · Upper Gallery
Visual artist Maria Wæhrens takes over the Upper Gallery with explosive colours, large-scale installations and paintings that extend far beyond the canvas. The exhibition is both an answer to a dream and a sensory gospel of freedom – a story of body and transformation, vulnerability and holiness as two sides of the same coin, and beauty as the greatest mystery of all. Johan Bech Jespersen x Rewild · High · Platform
In the Platform project space, a new exhibition by Johan Bech Jespersen, created in collaboration with the art and music collective Rewild, brings sculpture, sound and architecture together in an immersive installation exploring the tension between transcendence and seduction. You can also explore our updated events programme and visit The Art Workshop – a new space at Nikolaj Kunsthal dedicated to creative exploration. Here, you can experiment with colours and materials inspired by the exhibitions currently on view – either on your own or as part of workshops on selected weekends and during school holidays. The Art Workshop is for all ages – with or without children!
