Thursday Bar with Svend Sømod

While the late summer sun hopefully keeps the city warm, Nikolaj Kunsthal invite you to cocktails at Nikolaj Plads, as a part of Copenhagen Cooking and Copenhagen Cultural District’s Thursday Bar

With an interest in chemistry and sensation, the Danish artist Svend Sømod is in charge of the proceedings – in an interim bar, located at the back of Nikolaj Kunsthal. Here, on the occasion of the festival Golden Days, you can experience a re-enactment of Peter Bonnén’s iconic, rural work “Cornfield at Nikolaj Plads” from 1975.

Svend Sømod, who graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2021, excels in a number of media and formats. He is concerned with both sound and visual forms of expression. And he has made the cocktail his very own artistic domain!
