We’re excited to welcome all our guests to the new autumn season, which offers a wealth of exciting experiences with a focus on contemporary Danish and international art.

At the Lower Gallery, we welcome the group exhibition I’m Sorry, This Space Is Reserved which highlights the disabled body. Experience for the first time a group exhibition with contributions from both international and local artists who together create visual narratives about bodies with functional variations. The exhibition should be seen as a contribution to nuance narratives about the body and thus break down prejudices and barriers through the aesthetics and sensuality of art, which can help to form a new common and equal language. Among the many participating artists are Joseph Grigely (US), Kristina Steinbock (DK), Estela Lapponi (BR) (pictured), Luna Scales (DK), Emilie L. Gossiaux (US), and Robert Andy Coombs (US). At the Upper Gallery, you can explore a collection of new works by the visual artist Kathrine Ærtebjerg. Look forward to stepping into Ærtebjerg's world, which offers sensual and colourful reflections on identity, gender and existence. In the solo exhibition, she is joined by the late artist Ovartaci, whose works are installed side by side with new surrealist works by Ærtebjerg. Read more about A Cloud Is a Girl Is a Boy Is a Cat

Last but not least, you can meet the young artist Emilie Imàn who through non-linear approaches – with oil painting at the center – deals with complexity, systems, relationships, language and decoding. The exhibition is created in collaboration with curator Anouska Kobus and is part of the project room Platform, which, with support from the Obel Family Foundation, provides the framework for six annual exhibitions focusing on collaborations between young artists and curators.
