Visual artist Mille Qvist has, with simple gestures, furnished the exhibition space Platform with an interior that challenges the no-man’s-land between design and art objects. The exhibition Top Nono is created in collaboration with curator Nanna Friis.

Mille Qvist’s practice revolves around sculpture, yet it also conveys a critical distance from the modernist sculptural tradition and its pronounced masculinity. In the grey areas — and the complete overlaps — between functional utility and useless beauty, between furniture surfaces and sculptural weight (or vice versa), Top Nono zooms in on the fetishisation of designed environments and designed content, which is characteristic of the contemporary art space.

Admission to exhibitions at Platform is always free. The programme is curated by a professional committee consisting of Esben Weile Kjær (artist), Ilethia Sharp (curator, gallerist), Ida Kvetny (artist), and Magnus Kaslov (curator).
