Closing Momentum at Platform

As part of the finissage, visitors are invited to experience the performance "There in Spirit", currently being developed by visual artist Liesel Burisch in collaboration with dancer Carl Giacomello.

Admission to Nikolaj Kunsthal is free on 23 November from 16:00 to 18:00. The performance "There in Spirit" will take place at 17:00.

"There in Spirit" builds on a series of experiments previously documented by photographer Rie Windfeld Schou in Nikolaj Kunsthal’s Upper Gallery. Here, Liesel Burisch has further developed the choreography from the video work "Hule hule", placing it in a new context – an exploration of what is preserved and what is lost when movement is transferred from one body to another.

The work connects to central themes in the exhibition "Nur in Zeit", exploring how we attribute a sense of sanctity to places and objects – whether it is a communion wafer as a body, a club as a space for free expression, or a cave painting as a message.

The exhibition "Nur in Zeit", created by Liesel Burisch in collaboration with curatorial duo Martin Wendelbo & Regen Li, will close on Sunday, 23 November at 17:00.
