"Kunstnernes København" (The Artists’ Copenhagen”) is the title of a group exhibition that zooms in on representations of the city experienced through the eyes of Danish artists. The exhibition shows works by, among others, Molly Haslund, Asmund Havsteen-Mikkelsen, Skjold Rambow, Superflex, Uffe Isolotto and Sahar Jamili.

Outside on Nikolaj Plads, Peter Bonnéns iconic work "Cornfield on Nikolaj Plads", which dates from 1975, is also being recreated. A golden cornfield in the middle of the city should make us talk about the past and the future of the land we walk on, cultivate and fight for. The re-enactment takes place in close collaboration with the Golden Days Festival, which this year has added ’in the countryside’ to its’ title.

The exhibition "Kunstnernes København" will take place on the occasion of the World Capital of Architecture.

The opening of the exhibition is on Thursday 7 September at 4-8 PM.

Where: Lower Gallery

When: 8 September 2023 - 21 January 2024.
