Platform 2023

Nearly one year has gone by since we opened our new exhibition space Platform which is dedicated to exhibitions by new talented artists and curators. So far it has been an exciting and educational journey – and we are very much looking forward to beginning a second year with Platform which offers new strong artist and curator combinations.

In the upcoming calendar year, our visitors can look forward to experiencing Toke Højby Lorentzen & Marie Vinther, Laurits Gulløv & Denisa Tomková, Samara Sallam & Fafaya Mogensen, Lydia Östberg Diakité & Awa Konaté as well as Emilie Alstrup & Anna Bak. 

We will open the new Platform season with artist Lina Hashim and curator Anne Zychalak Stolten whose works can be experienced during the first quarter of the year. Lina Hashim, who, among other things, is concerned with the misrepresentation of female artists with a Muslim cultural background on the Danish art scene, will be exhibiting in the period of 10 February – 26 March. We will celebrate the new exhibition with an opening on 9 February. More on this later.   

 

Selection by an independent committee

Behind Platform’s annual programme is a commitee consisting of four art professionals from the Copenhagen art environment. With their respective experiences and insights, they must ensure a share and forward-looking selection of Platform’s programme – right up to and including 2024. The committee consists of Lotte Løvholm (curator, editor, writer), Christopher Sand-Iversen (art historian, writer and co-leader of SixtyEight Art Institute), Anders Kjær Rasmussen (cultural facilitator) and Natalia Gutman (curator and art historian),
