A Meditative Soundscape Beneath 12-Metre Ceilings

On Thursday 26 February, Nikolaj Kunsthal opens its doors to a sensory moment of respite within the current exhibition Københavnerstykker II, as DUEN presents their meditative concert format, KLANGRUM

KLANGRUM is a meditative space for contemplation and presence, created by the ensemble DUEN, who work with classical music as a means of sensory exploration and reflection.

DUEN performs with particular sensitivity, bringing the music into close proximity with the audience, who are invited to lie down and let themselves be enveloped by the sound. Nikolaj Kunsthal provides yoga mats – you are welcome to bring a blanket.

The concert takes place in Nikolaj Kunsthal’s Lower Gallery, where the high ceilings enhance the acoustic music. Surrounded by works from the exhibition "Københavnerstykker II", a unique dialogue emerges between classical music, contemporary art and church architecture.

The concert takes place on Thursday 26 February. Find tickets and further information here.

The concert unfolds within the exhibition "Københavnerstykker II", which presents 230 works acquired for the City of Copenhagen by the Council for Visual Arts over the past four years.
