Taste the Art * Kasper Hesselbjerg – Idiot-Monster Lunch
The format Smag Kunsten (“Taste the Art”) lives on during this year’s Art Week Festival. This time with the event Idiot-Monster Lunch by visual artist Kasper Hesselbjerg, who, among other things, offers edible sculptures and performative elements.
Kasper Hesselbjerg’s intention with Idiot-Monster Lunch is to focus on how we establish a connection and a relationship with the outside world through food, eating habits and culinary practices.
The theme of the lunch, which features both recognisable and monstrous dishes, is imaginations of the future. What sets the framework for which futures we can imagine? And how can we change ourselves and our relationship with the outside world.
The lunch will take place at Nikolaj Kunsthal’s Lower Gallery, which – with its 12 metres to the ceiling – will be showing Mikkel Carl’s exhibition Truth is like Poetry during the same period.

As the format Smag Kunsten (“Taste the Art”) is a performative event with a predetermined menu, it is unfortunately not possible to adjust the servings in relation to allergies, vegetarian preferences, etc.
